What to bring to the Dealer to qualify: Cash for Clunkers

Are you wondering what to bring to the Dealership when
taking advantage of the "Cash for Clunkers" Here at Hendrick Honda of Charleston we want to make this easy for you. Check out the list below:

1. Proof of insurance for 1 year
2. Proof of registration going back at least 1 year
3. "Clear title" Must be free of any liens!!
4. The vehicle manufacturer date forund on the driver's door or door jam is less than 25 years old when you trade it in.

If you do not have the items listed above simply call your insurance company and have them provide you with at least 1 year's worth of insurance on the trade-in vehicle. Contact the DMV for copies of prior registration certificates to show proof of ownership for at least the past year. Make sure to clear your title by paying-off any loans outstanding and receive either a newly issued title from the DMV or have the lien release document from the lien holder signed and stamped accordingly. :)
